Creche FAQ's

Do you have child car seats?

Yes, we have lots of different sizes from newborn to toddler. Please indicate which you require on your transfer booking form.

What equipment do you have for under 1's?

We have 2 sterilizers (Advent), Advent bottles (just bring your Advent teats), changing table and mat, night time bottlewarmer, beakers, bibs, spoons, highchairs, microwave and ketlle.
Cots and linen, bouncer chair, liquidizer, washing machine and tumble dryer..

A kitchenette for the mums.
Baby baths and bath baby supports for the bedrooms with baths.
Pushchairs and buggies.
We have a baby listening service through the phone service through the phone system (please note this is not like a baby monitor but allows you to dial in from the downstairs phone to listen into your children in the room).
Babysitting available on the chalet night off or any other evening if you
require it.

Can I buy baby food in Morzine?

You can buy powdered milk, Nestlé brands and Aptimel, but not SMA. You can also buy follow on milk from age 10 months already made up. You can buy all the jars of baby foods, but cannot get organic in Morzine.
The nearest supermarket is in Avoriaz by ski or 5 mins away by free ski bus in Morzine.

When do children get fed in the evenings?

We have children's supper at 5.30pm - there are plenty if vegetables and homemade foods for you to help yourselves to and pureed food is also available.
We have a microwave and kettle and cooking hobs for mums who wish to prepare their own foods..

Do you feed the children on your night off?

We do, although this is usually something simple so we advise giving little ones a big lunch. We can organise babysitters for when the parents go out for a meal in one of the local restaurants.

What equipment do you have for toddlers and children?

We have lots of toys, videos, books and a Playstation2.
A kitchenette for the mums and milk inthe fridge for evening bottles.
A potty and a toddlers loo.
Bikes, cars, toboggans etc for outside play.
Cots with bed linen.
Stair gates for the bedrooms with mezzanines.
Plastic bibs, cups and cutlery.
Buggies and pushchairs.
We have a baby listening service through the phone system.
Babysitting available in the evenings.

What do I need to bring with me?

Warm outside clothes, sun cream, sunglasses or goggles.
Slippers for the creche.
Advent teats - don't worry about the bottles as we have them in the creche.
Nappies, wipes, nappy sacks and cream.
We do not supply any medicines - Calpol etc in the creche, but the nannies can administer them to your child with your permission.
A mobile phone so we can contact you if there are any worries or problems.

What activites do the children do in the creche?

The nannies do all sorts of creative activities such as bubble painting, playdoh, crafts and each week stick to a theme ie Jungle madness etc.
They have a snack and a drink in the morning and sometimes go into Morzine to ride on the train, roundabout etc.
Lunch is approx 12h00 and then they go toboganning, sing songs, dancing and games in the afternoon.
The nannies will stick to your routine at home and put the babies to sleep in your own room if you wish.
the creche is run along the lines of a playschool.

T he creche is open form 09h00 to 17h00.
