Pottery Retreats in Provence & Morzine

Join Francesca for a pottery retreat in two very different corners of France. From the vineyards, villages and lavender fields of Provence to the mountains, lakes and alpine trails of Morzine, these relaxed, immersive retreats combine pottery with great food, local experiences and time to simply slow down.

Whether you're completely new to pottery or already love working with clay, you'll have plenty of time to learn, create and enjoy the surroundings.

Two destinations. One creative escape.

Provence • May, June, Aug & Sept

Our original pottery retreats take place at Maison Lou Roucas, Francesca's beautifully restored 200-year-old village home in Cabrières-d'Aigues.

Set among vineyards and olive groves, this is pottery with a Provençal twist. Spend time in the studio, explore local markets and villages, enjoy regional food and wine, walk through the countryside and soak up the slower pace of village life. A creative escape, with Provence as your backdrop.

More than just pottery

These retreats aren't simply about learning how to throw a pot or build with clay. They're about time, creativity and connection. Francesca's retreats bring together pottery, food, local culture and the places she loves, giving you the chance to experience each destination beyond the usual tourist trail.

Some days might be spent creating in the studio; others exploring, cooking, walking, eating, drinking or simply enjoying the view.

Come for the pottery. Stay for everything else.

Morzine • July

In July, Francesca brings her pottery retreats to the mountains. Based at Chilly Powder in Morzine-Avoriaz.

Join us specifically for a pottery retreat, or simply add some creative time to your Morzine holiday while the rest of your family or group heads off hiking, biking or exploring. Whether you’re looking to get creative or enjoy some time to yourself, it’s a relaxed way to experience the mountains from a different perspective.

Who are the retreats for?

Everyone. You don't need previous pottery experience and you don't need to consider yourself "creative". Francesca's relaxed approach means beginners are very welcome, while those with more experience can develop their skills and work on their own ideas.

The retreats are ideal for solo travellers, friends, couples or anyone looking for a few days away to make something, learn something and enjoy somewhere beautiful. Two destinations, two very different experiences, but the same warm, informal Chilly Powder approach.

Or contact Francesca directly should you with to learn more about the pottery retreats.
